John David Etheriedge, Esq.
David’s legal practice is devoted primarily to wealth transfers, charitable & estate planning, probate, trust & estate administration, fiduciary-related disputes, nonprofit organizations, and business transactions. As a natural extension of his wealth transfer and estate planning practice, David frequently represents clients in matters involving various aspects of business, corporate, nonprofit and tax law. He also has significant experience representing churches, nonprofits and related individuals, as well as assisting individuals and businesses in the structuring of tax-free property exchanges.
In addition to representing fiduciaries, David often serves in the capacity of a professional executor, trustee or trust protector.
David received his B.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans, and his J.D. from Emory University in Atlanta. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Fiduciary Law & Nonprofit Law Sections). His other memberships include the Atlanta Bar Association (Estate Planning Section), the Forsyth County Bar Association, the North Georgia Estate Planning Institute and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
David is an AV-rated attorney (see Martindale-Hubbell attorney ratings) admitted to practice before all Georgia Courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th, 5th, 9th and 11th Circuits.
Christopher R. Stovall, Esq.
After 19 years of practicing law for respected firms in Atlanta and then Phoenix, Chris came home from Arizona to start The Stovall Law Firm, P.C., in 2015. Chris grew up in Gwinnett County (Parkview High School Class of 1988) and now lives and practices in the Cumming area. Now the Stovall Law Firm has joined with Etheriedge & Associates, PC to offer quality, comprehensive legal services to small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals in North Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
Chris has over 20 years of broad experience in resolving disputes involving many areas of business, contracts, construction, and real estate matters, and in providing general business counsel. He enjoys bringing his many years of litigation experience to the creative process of handling corporate and transactional matters: forming businesses and nonprofit organizations, drafting and updating corporate governance documents like shareholder and operating agreements, and reviewing and drafting various business documents like contracts, commercial leases, and employment agreements. Chris loves taking on new challenges and learning new areas of law, but he is always mindful to “know what he doesn’t know” — if his professional opinion is that another attorney would be better suited to handle your matter, he will gladly bring that attorney into the counsel relationship and work with you and co-counsel to get the best result for your situation.
Throughout his career Chris has contributed his legal skills to the community through groups whose mission he supports, like pro-life pregnancy centers, the Alliance Defending Freedom, and other ministries.
Chris received his B.A. from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and his J.D. from University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and the Forsyth County Bar Association.
